Introduction
Zeal Color Picker Field type is easy to use and compatible with channel entry, Grid, Fluid, and Relationship Field. It provides valuable output in HEX, RGB, and RGBA values.
Compatibility
EE Compatible Version: EE2, EE3, EE4, EE5, EE6.
Note: We are not providing support for EE2 and EE3.
Installation
Follow below steps to install Zeal Color Picker Field version:
EE2:
- Download and Extract ZIP file of the module. (We recommend to use the latest version.)
- Copy Zeal_Color_Picker_Field > EE2 > system > third_party > zeal_color_picker folder to “Your Site > system > expressionengine > third_party” Folder.
- Copy Zeal_Color_Picker_Field > EE2 > themes> third_party> zeal_color_picker folder to “Your Site > themes > third_party” Folder.
- Login to backend panel with Super admin credentials.
- Go to “Add-Ons > Modules” and Install Zeal Color Picker Field module.
EE3:
- Download and Extract ZIP file of the module. (We recommend to use the latest version.)
- Copy Zeal_Color_Picker_Field > EE3 > system > user > addons > zeal_color_picker folder to “Your Site > system > user > addons” Folder.
- Copy Zeal_Color_Picker_Field > EE3 > themes> user> zeal_color_picker folder to “Your Site > themes > user” Folder.
- Login to backend panel with Super admin credentials.
- Go to “Developer > Add-On Manager” and Install Zeal Color Picker Field module.
EE4, EE5 and EE6:
- Download and Extract ZIP file of the module. (We recommend to use the latest version.)
- Copy Zeal_Color_Picker_Field > EE4-EE5 > system > user > addons > zeal_color_picker folder to “Your Site > system > user > addons” Folder.
- Copy Zeal_Color_Picker_Field > EE4-EE5 > themes > user > zeal_color_picker folder to “Your Site > themes > user” Folder.
- Login to backend panel with Super admin credentials.
- Go to “Developer > Add-Ons” and Install Zeal Color Picker Field module.
Note: If you purchased the addon from Devot:ee then you can get the license key from the licenses tab in your profile.

- User can Select Color from Color picker or Write color code directly in the field with # as the prefix.
- Users can adjust the Alpha value of RGBA color.
